Dr. Sarkar graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2023 with a Ph.D. in Comparative Medicine and Experimental Medicine with a concentration in Epidemiology and a minor in Statistics and Data Science. His dissertation examined the effects of the U.S. Veterinary Feed Directive Final Rule on the Prevalence of Violative Antibiotic Residues and Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria in Animal Products. He is a quantitative epidemiologist and public health research with a passion for using applied epidemiological approaches and statistical methods to improve health outcomes and provide information to guide health planning and policy decisions.
