The MPH curriculum is a 54-credit, competency-based program designed to meet the rigorous standards of the Council for Education in Public Health (CEPH). Our coursework ensures that every student gains mastery in the five core disciplines of public health—biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy, and behavioral sciences—while developing essential skills in leadership and systems thinking.

All students complete nine foundational courses (3 credits each) to build a universal public health toolkit:

  • Epidemiology for Public Health 
  • Health Systems Performance 
  • Environmental & Occupational Health 
  • Social & Behavioral Determinants of Health 
  • Fundamentals of Program Planning

Students tailor their degree by selecting one of the following 12-credit tracks:

Climate Solutions and Health: Addressing the intersection of environmental change and wellness.

Community Health: Focusing on health promotion and social justice.

Epidemiology and Biostatistics: Mastery of data, patterns, and population research.

Health Policy and Management: Leading healthcare systems and shaping policy.

Generalist: Designed specifically for students in approved clinical programs or those with advanced clinical degrees.
