Fred Guttenberg is one of our nation’s foremost leaders in countering firearm violence. He began his service to public life after his 14-year-old daughter, Jaime, was murdered in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida on February 14, 2018. His son Jesse, who was also a student at the school, was able to run from the shooting. One of the most important voices of any American in proposing—and getting passed—gun reform legislation, Fred has presented at senate meetings, at the State of the Union, and as the voice for gun reform in debates with our nation’s most vocal NRA activists and their political advocates.
