Professor Bayley is the MPH Applied Practice Faculty Director, Advanced Graduate Certificate in Health Education and Promotion Program Director, and MPH Instructor in the Department of Family, Population, and Preventive Medicine.
Professor Bayley specializes in women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, and health equity. Her work centers on improving health outcomes for marginalized communities. With over 25 years of experience in senior-level positions in both the public and non-profit sectors, she has successfully developed and led numerous public health initiatives, both locally and internationally. Most recently, she served as the Associate Vice President and Interim Vice President of Education and Training at Planned Parenthood of New York City. In this capacity, she oversaw a diverse array of sexual and reproductive health education and training programs, participatory research, and community engagement initiatives. Since 2019, Professor Bayley has been teaching community and public health courses, drawing on her expertise and dedication to mentoring future public health professionals. Additionally, in efforts to support gender equity and girls’ empowerment programs on Long Island, she served on the Girls Inc. of Long Island (GILI) Board of Directors for close to four years, including two years as Board President; she currently chairs GILI's Advisory Board.
