SOLAR stands for Student On-Line Access to Records, a web-based information and enrollment system that allows you to track and control many aspects of your graduate career. With SOLAR, you can:
- Search for courses and descriptions by semester
- Enroll in classes
- Add, drop, "swap" or waitlist for some classes
- View your academic record
- View your financial aid and billing information
- Update your personal information
- Receive important messages and alerts about enrollment, billing, etc.
To log-in to SOLAR visit http://it.cc.stonybrook.edu/solar, you will need your Stony Brook ID, which will be sent to you shortly.
E-mail Notification about Messages and Alerts on your account:
To receive e-mail notification that you have messages or alerts waiting for you on your account, it is important that your e-mail address is kept accurate and up-to-date. Check your SOLAR System Welcome Page frequently for messages, such as holds on enrollment transactions, permission to enroll, financial aid requirements, etc. Instructions about what you need to do and whom you must contact will be displayed. Holds must be resolved before enrolling. The following must be completed on SOLAR or a hold will be placed on your account and prevent you from enrolling:
