Dr. Kawuki is a seasoned scholar with extensive experience in Public Health research, practice, and teaching. He completed his Ph.D. in Public Health at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and MPH-Global Health at Southeast University (Nanjing, China). With a BSc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Dr. Kawuki has formal training and practice as a community and clinical Nutritionist. He has solid experience (over 4 years) in graduate teaching, having served as a graduate teaching assistant where he taught several core courses of the Public Health Program including Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Global Health, Research Methods, Foundations of Public Health, and Foundations of Health Promotion, among others. Dr. Kawuki has contributed to and published over 50 papers, mostly in reputable journals and addressing various aspects of public health, mainly in the context of social-structural determinants of health. He also has enriched field experience in public health practice (over 3 years) including working with international agencies in Africa, such as World Vision and USAID, where he gained valuable research and field experience in Global Health and Humanitarian response, including nutrition resilience, food security, sanitation, and water security among vulnerable communities.
