July 25, 2013: Possible
Internship at Nassau County Department of Health. 
Nassau County Health Department,
Division of Quality Improvement, Epidemiology and Research, is looking for
interns for Fall and Spring 2013-2014. This can be part of your practicum
experience, or can be used as an independent study for credit (Dr. Meliker will
supervise your independent study), or could just be a volunteer experience.
 They would like you to commit to working ~15 hrs/week for at least one
semester.  This is ideal for students who have already completed the first
half of their MPH course requirements, but exceptional incoming students will
be considered.

July 17, 2013: Internship at The Huntington Breast Cancer Action Coalition. The Huntington Breast
Cancer Action Coalition (HBCAC) is seeking a dynamic self-starter who isn't
afraid of tackling projects. We are looking for an individual who is eager for
an opportunity to provide support to a busy President by coordinating its
office operations and administrative procedures. HBCAC Is a
not-for-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the ultimate eradication of
breast cancer through education and awareness. Our ideal candidate will be
energetic, organized and be able to respond to base level troubleshooting
issues.

The Office Manager position is an unpaid internship, working four hours a day, Monday-Friday, and reports directly to the President. The position is based in Melville, NY.
