May 14, 2015: Congratulations to core faculty member Dr. Sean Clouston, he is the principal investigator in a project which has been funded by the NIH/NIA R01. This work is proposed from May 2015 through Jan 2020. The project is entitled "A life course approach to integrating trauma and cognitive age: A cohort of 9/11 responders."
April 23, 2015: HUGE congratulations to our MPH student Masra Shameem and faculty member Dr. Sean Clouston, they won best poster in the public health category at the 2015 Women's Health Conference. March 10, 2015: MPH Students published in Newsday! Congratulations to Chelsea Toller, Alyse Marotta, and Catherine Assaro on their recent Letter to the Editor published in Newsday. Writing letters to the editor was part of an assignment for JRN 501: Distilling a Message, and their letter was written in response to a Newsday article that interviewed anti-vaccine mothers about their decisions not to vaccinate their children. March 10, 2015: Congratulations to MPH Students Masra Shameem and Anthony Romano, as well as MPH Alum Robbye Kinkade, for their award winning poster at this year’s Stony Brook Partners in Quality & Patient Safety Day Program. There poster is titled “Cultural Competency and Community Resources: DSRIP and the Goal of Improving Healthcare Quality in Suffolk County”.
