Healthy Libraries Program Schedule

Healthy Hour will be scheduled from 12 pm - 1 pm every week

Healthy Hour is an open forum where patrons can come ask COVID-19 related questions. The program will include a 15 minute update on COVID-19 followed by 45 minutes of questions and answers. Patrons can ask any question related to COVID-19 whether it has to do with the COVID-19 vaccine, primary prevention, or recovery as some examples.

Webinars  are 45 minute PowerPoint presentations on a wide range of health-related topics. They are followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers. Different webinar topics can be seen below in the schedule. 

The following dates are for in-person programming. The team will be on-site at these libraries during the specified dates and times.


One on one appointments:

Do you or a loved one need help: finding resources in your community, finding reliable health information, filling out paperwork for social services, finding housing? Do you have questions about medications or a health problem? Would you like to talk with someone? You can meet virtually with students training in public health, nursing and social work. The Stony Brook Medicine Healthy Libraries Program (SBMHeLP program) can help with all of these topics. SBMHeLP a partnership between Stony Brook Medicine and the Public Libraries of Suffolk County.

One on one appointments will also be available throughout April and May. There are no specific time slots for the one on one appointments. They can be scheduled based on availability of student interns and patrons.
