Housing

All
new graduate students are guaranteed housing as long as the housing
deposit and housing request are received by the fall application
deadline. This is an online process and can be done on SOLAR. Housing
accommodations will be provided based on availability and the date your
application was received. Rates for the different housing options can be viewed here.

Chapin Apartments

The Chapin Apartments are located on the east-side of campus near
the University Hospital and Health Science Center. They are comprised of
12 separate buildings and 1-4 bedroom accommodations. The Chapin
Apartments have a remodeled children’s playground area equipped with swings,
slides and a climbing gym. There are also community volleyball and basketball
courts, laundry room facilities with mail-boxes situated in the middle of the
complex. In addition, Chapin residents may also reserve and use the Chapin
Commons for birthdays, meetings, parties and other social, cultural events and
activities.

Schomburg Apartments

The Schomburg Apartments are comprised of two buildings with a
total of 72 apartment units and are located on the west-side of campus near the
academic mall. The Schomburg Community Center, known as the “Commons,” contains
residents’ mailboxes, a laundry room, and the Schomburg Office. There is also a
large lounge, which can be used for birthdays, meetings, parties, and other
social, cultural, events and activities.

West Apartments

The West Apartments are comprised of eight buildings and located
on the west-side of campus, across from Schomburg. There are mailboxes and
laundry facilities in each building. Please note that The West Apartments do
not have family accommodations.
